Technical Coordinator
Currently representing a regional house developer based near Redhill, Surrey who are seeking a Technical Coordinator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join a company with big growth plans for the next 5 years, with the desire to hit GBP100m in turnover by 2025. Our client is genuinely proud of their product, considering to be better than most house builders from both a specification and build quality perspective in the Home Counties and southeast of England. This is an exciting time for a Technical Coordinator to come on board and will be expected to manage 3-4 live sites.
The Technical Coordinator who secures this role will be involved in site evaluations, architectural and engineering design and investigations within any technical problems encountered. The Technical department of the company are involved with the project from inception to completion and from time to time involved with defect solutions with the customer care team.
The most suitable candidate will come from a developer or contractor background and be seeking the next step within their career. Demonstrable knowledge of Building Regulations NHBC / LABC standards, Sewers for Adoption, Road and Sewer adoption agreements is an advantage also.
Technical Coordinator Position Overview
- Negotiate and submit information to the appropriate authorities for approvals
- Carry out site evaluations, architectural & engineering design and investigations
- Ability to review external technical reports, designs - both house type working drawings & engineering layouts and critique them to ensure efficient design is achieved
- Cover any technical problems which may arise.
- Carry a project from inception to completion
- NHBC plot registration
- Keeping track of expenditure & attending valuation meetings with Directors.
Technical Coordinator Position Requirements
- Proficient in CAD, will be expected to draft additional information / plans / details
- Up to date knowledge of current building regulations / NHBC standards
- Knowledge and understanding of civils/drainage
- Identify and resolve technical design and constructional problems
- Reviewing, challenging and commenting on bespoke/project specific design information
- Previous experience working for a housing developer / contractor
- Managing the members of the project consultants effectively
- Coordinating third party 'sign off' with external manufacturers
- Ability to work autonomously when delivery specific tasks and brief.
Technical Coordinator Position Remuneration
- Salary Expectations: GBP38k to GBP50k DOE
- Car Allowance GBP4,800
- 23 days Holiday + BH
- NEST Pension
