The Place:
Xpress are delighted to be working with one of our Edinburgh based clients who are now looking to strengthen their current Kitchen brigade by appointing an experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef to help and support the existing Executive Head Chef along with the current growing kitchen team as the business starts to re opens and re recruits from Covid restrictions.
The Job:
As Head Chef you will be fully responsible for managing the day to day operation working with your team and also as Head Chef you will be working in collaboration with your Executive Head Chef to make sure that the business delivers great "food" using fresh and seasonal produce in association with local and national suppliers throughout the venue. As Head Chef you will be fully expected to take ownership and responsibility for your people and as Head Chef you will be the person that sets the standards and measures your team's performance and development in line with all of the companies Standards and policies.
The Person:
Ideally, we are looking to attract an experience Senior Sous or an existing Head Chef that is working in an existing "full all rounded serviced hotel environment" and is now looking to take that next step up in their career and be responsible for a larger kitchen and brigade while allowing you to expand your own knowledge and skill in a larger multi-functional Hotel environment, yet still giving you as Head Chef that Umbrella of having a senior mentor type Executive Head Chef to help you in your growth and development in perhaps areas of Financial kitchen management .As Head Chef the business requires a good "all-rounder" someone that can make sure they are directing and developing their team as well as managing all resources to cover the variety of cooking cuisine which spans the venue such as : Restaurant : Private Dining : Events such as Weddings and when allowed small corporate events up to 200
