Purpose of Role
It is the responsibility of the Mobile Repair Technician to manage all works assigned to them in a professional and safe manner. The specific details will vary depending on the nature of issues reported and the range of facilities, assets and services being managed.
Undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance, health and safety management and support to the Account commercial team are all key parts of the role. Taking responsibility for ensuring any required documentation or reporting is completed fully and accurately.
Generally reporting to the MRT Supervisor, the role will involve pro-actively managing planned and reactive work orders and liaising with the EMR Helpdesk along with use of the CAFM system to close out work orders and enable effective communications into the team and the Customer.
Job Description
You will be part of a team working across the East Midlands Railway estate and may be required to work out of hours or on a weekly shift pattern. Due to the nature of our work the successful applicant will be required to provide emergency call out cover on a rota basis and be flexible in approach.
Responsibilities
• Always put safety first and actively take part in reporting CC/PI (close call and positive interventions)
• Take part in safety forums as required
• Be flexible in approach and to changing client needs
• Ensure Tablets are used to maximum effect in managing the close out of planned and reactive work orders
• Pro-actively use the CAFM platform to improve operating efficiency.
• Ensure that the systems are also used to full effect to support our Customers business objectives
• Support the MRT Supervisor in implementing the successful management strategy for the Account.
• Comply with the systems established to support the operational needs of the Account to optimise the management of all planned and reactive works
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Applicants should have completed a Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent in a relevant trade or have proven industry experience.
Applicants must have a clean UK driving licence.
