We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager!

If you have experience in business continuity, risk management, and know the civil contingency act 2004 then this could be the ideal role for you!

Working for a blue lights service this is a contract role expected for ~ 6 months.

This is a remote working role, with the option of going into the office 1 day a week if you wish.

The office is based in Exeter.

37.5 per week (flexible hours & WFH)
GBP35,745 K pro rata

Job Description

To provide assurance that Business Continuity plans are compliant with Civil Contingencies Act 2004 requirements. This will include the preparation, review and validation of existing plans and development and deployment of new plans in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and related regulations to enhance the resilience Service wide.

To influence and gain acceptance across the Service to the business continuity approaches through effective communication, relevant and insightful analyses and creative thinking.
The preparation, revision and exercising of business continuity plans across all departments, stations and management structures.
To act as project manager / subject matter expert for the Services compliance with various legislation and standards regarding business continuity management.
To advise on best practice in relation to business continuity management.
To provide assurance to and work with senior management to ensure effective business continuity plans are in place so that [we are] able to continue to deliver activities irrespective of the type of disruptive event.
