We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Account Growth team, managing 60 global accounts (made up of law firms, corporates and consultancies) The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong client relationships, understanding the needs and requirements of the firms information/research function and offering first class service and support on existing and new acquisitions.
This is a key role within our business and the right person will be able to excel and develop their career further under excellent leadership. A background in legal information is preferred, though excellent account management process, commercial ambition and strong interpersonal skills are essential for this appointment.
What you would be doing:
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers monitoring their purchases to provide opportunities for upselling
- Initiate, scope and manage projects to increase sales yield levels and revenue
- Work with Client Services team to carry out the activities through the client life-cycle to increase renewal rates by volume and value
- Development and implementation of client sales plans for products and territories to meet your sales targets
- Support our product development function by suggesting new ideas and garnering client feedback where appropriate and in the launch process of new products
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers at conferences and product demonstrations
- Lead the creation of proposals and sales pitches for new products
- Update the CRM to ensure the CRM accurately reflects your sales activity through the buying stage to move Leads and Opportunities to Closed Won or Closed Lost status
- Ensuring your clients have signed contract and orders are processed in accordance with GDPR regulations
What we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 2-3 years minimum of sales/account management experience, ideally in the B2B space
- Proven track record of sales performance and client management
- Experience in mentoring and training junior colleagues desirable
- Experience leading in the delivery of sales to senior stakeholders desirable
