Pertemps recruitment require a temporary, part-time People Adviser to work with a public sector client based in the Dalmarnock area of Glasgow.
This is a part time position, based on 20 hours per week. Rate of pay will be GBP13.34 per hour, and a monthly payment of GBP78.48 is also on offer as an allowance for working weekends. Please note this role is expected to last until February 2022.
The shift pattern for this role will be;
Week 1 - Tuesday & Wednesday, 9am - 5pm
Week 2 - Tuesday & Wednesday, 7am - 3pm
Week 3 - Tuesday & Wednesday, 9am - 5pm, Saturday & Sunday, 7am - 5pm
Duties/Responsibilities
To act as first point of contact for all HR queries received
Responsible for providing professional HR advice and guidance to line managers and staff processing each enquiry through to a satisfactory resolution
Record absence and the return to work of officers and staff and provide attendance management advice and guidance to individuals and line management as required following first contact
Demonstrate excellent customer care skills
Provide professional advice and guidance to members of staff, managers and external customers in line with company HR policies and procedures, staff terms and conditions and regulations
Contribute to the development and review of new or amended HR policies, SOPs, guidance and processes in line with agreed consultation routes.
Promote HR knowledge/HR advice by signposting customers to relevant information, HR self-help tools and encourage use of Intranet, Policy Hub and FAQ's etc.
Highlight to the responsible person areas where improvement can be made to current processes that will enable the People Direct team to provide a more efficient & effective service.
Participate in gathering and analysis of customer feedback as directed
Generate required management information, undertake demand data volume and trend analysis as directed.
Where required, taking accurate minute/note of employee relations investigative meetings or hearings.
Completion, quality checking of information and processing of any people services related documentation or pro-forma as required.
Skills/Experience Required
Previous experience within a HR role
Professional Qualification in HR or CIPD accreditation
Excellent customer service skills
Empathetic approach
Ability to work to the aforementioned shift pattern
