Teaching Assistant

We are looking to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant for a Primary School we work closely with in Barry.

The successful Teaching Assistant will provide individual support and supervision for students aged between 3-11, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, helping the class teacher, working towards agreed aims and objectives. The successful Teaching Assistant will work 1:1 and at times in small groups with students as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioral and emotional needs of young people.

We are looking for individuals with a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people. High levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm are essential, as well as the ability to inspire, motivate and empathise with young people. This candidate is required to have good experience of working in a school setting.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
