Egis MENS' Business Unit (Project structuring, Operation and New Services) is one of the world leaders in the financial structuring of PPP projects, as well as in the operation of infrastructures and services. In the road sector, Egis operates and maintains 44 roads and highways, including civil structures such as bridges, viaducts and tunnels , i.e. nearly 4,400 km. Through 28 operating companies, Egis employs more than 9,300 people in more than 20 countries.

In the airport sector, our BU operates, maintains and develops a network of 17 airports around the world, handling more than 30 million passengers and 330,000 tons of freight per year.

Egis MENS' BU also offers a wide range of services for its customers such as electronic toll collection, interoperability and on-street parking management

Egis and our joint venture partners have formed Connect Plus Services (CPS), which is the company responsible for managing one of the busiest motorways in Europe through Highways England's largest Design build Finance operate (DBFO) contract. With over 600 people working across CPS and the contract running to 2039, this is a great opportunity to build an important part of your career on a major highways project.

On the M25 and other international Egis projects, our teams have extensive opportunities to develop diverse ranges of expertise and experience whilst contributing to the successful delivery of key services across different sectors of the infrastructure market all over the world.

Main purpose of the job:

Key responsibilities / duties:

This role will be principally engaged in:

?? Being a visible champion for HSW throughout the project engaging with Operatives and Managers

?? Oversee the implementation of Organisational Standards relating to HSW at a local level providing feedbacking to the HSW Managers on any areas of improvement or potential conflict with business requirements

?? Monitor the delivery of the communications strategy to keep HSW on the operational delivery agenda and report back to the HSW Managers on the levels of effective communication

?? To support the delivery of appropriate and adequate HSW training based on Project needs

?? Support/ undertake targeted inspections of HSW management system and supply chain audits, tracking & supporting actions to close out

?? Managing own diary and stakeholder communications to plan, schedule and conduct inspections and HSW conversations with site & depot based teams

?? To prepare and communicate timely reports and presentations detailing performance data on inspection findings, tracking & supporting actions to close out

?? To positively represent the Health, Safety & Well-being function and its strategy during conference calls and meetings

?? To review work activities against safety system of work taking appropriate action and providing documented advice where necessary
Support incident investigations, ensuring incidents are dealt with effectively with actions tracked to close out

Essential

Professional qualification in health and safety (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)


?? A current CSCS Card or equivalent

?? Clean, full driving license

?? Able to maintain a regular night-time presence

?? Utilise suite of Microsoft Office applications and digital platforms at an intermediate level to review data, identify themes and prepare representative graphs

Desirable

?? Prior site based construction experience

?? Experience of working on a Joint Venture

?? Prior experience facilitating meetings via digital platforms e.g. Teams, Zoom, Skype etc
