Teaching Assistant - Part-time

Pay: KR5 Actual salary GBP12,040 per annum

Start Date: 06.09.21.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant for September 2021. The successful candidate will work in Key Stage 2 providing general classroom support, under the direction of the class teacher. Ideally, we would welcome applications from candidates who possess experience of working within this key stage.

This is a permanent position for 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. We are hoping to recruit a Teaching Assistant who will have an understanding and caring attitude and is committed to the school's learning and development goals. They will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills together with effective oral and written communication skills. We expect all staff to be able to make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life.

Wentworth Primary School (Acad) is situated near to Dartford Heath and is close to the border with the London Borough of Bexley. The School currently has over 616 pupils aged between 4 years and 11 years and serves its local community in Dartford and Crayford. It is very popular and is regularly oversubscribed. From September 2016 the school expanded to an admission number (PAN) of 90, commencing in Foundation and rolling through the school, year on year. The School is very well resourced in all areas, and benefits from ample grounds including our own playing fields. The atmosphere is happy and supportive with an effective team spirit.
