Our client is a successful fast-growing SAAS Fintech company based in Bedford providing market leading software solutions for the asset, automotive and consumer finance industries. They partner with a selection of key global clients to provide first class disruptive technologies and solutions.

We are now looking for an ambitious Python/Django Framework Developer to work within the growing Software Development team. You will be responsible for helping to develop cutting edge products and functionality. This role will involve primarily Python development using the Django framework. You will also need solid experience of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. There will also be opportunities to develop using other technologies such as React.js and Vue.js, so a passion for tech and learning will be key.

The role can be home, or office based. You will however be required to attend the Bedford location 2 or 3 times a month as required.

Skills and knowledge required:

• 5+ years professional Front End development experience in a commercial environment
• Excellent working knowledge of Python and Django web and rest frameworks
• Good knowledge of basic web technologies including HTTP, HTML and CSS
• Excellent JavaScript experience, with knowledge of at least one JavaScript Front End framework (ideally React.js or Vue.js)
• Experience of working with both internal and 3rd party RESTful APIs
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies
• Personable and approachable, with a positive outlook and an overall passion for excellence
• Ability to learn quickly, conscientious & motivated whilst working in a fast-paced environment
• Takes ownership and solves problems in a structured way
• Ability to multi-task and stay organised in a dynamic Agile work environment
• Analytical and inquisitive, asks appropriate questions to challenge others
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Able to work collaboratively within a team, explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues
• Fluent in business English language - with excellent written and verbal skills
