People Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Client's People Team on a 6-month fixed term basis. The role will be reporting directly to the Site People Advisor, from their state-of-the-art distribution centre based in Trentham, supporting our shared service team.
Working within a team of 5, you'll be responsible for carrying out administration duties relating to employee relations whilst ensuring local spreadsheets and people systems are kept up to date.
Duties/Typical Day:
Processing Absence / disciplinary packs
Work through the incoming post / income emails
Answer the absence line
Arrange meetings
Support managers in HR related meetings
Support on Ad-Hoc projects
Chase missing new starter information
Essential Skills:
Some HR experience in similar industries / studying towards CIPD
Confident enough to push back on managers if processes are not being followed
Sound knowledge of MS office packages is essential.
You'll be a confident communicator with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders.
You'll be proactive and have a solution driven approach, with a strong ability to prioritise your workload.
