About the role:
We have an opening in our Pricing Data team for someone to play an important role of Supplier Data Administrator for a 3-month period based in our Warwick office. The primary objective of the role is to work with the Data Team to accelerate the completeness, accuracy and quality of the Product Data that fuels the Wolseley business, In Branches, digitally via E-Commerce and E-Business and also in their Marketing Communications. The role will primarily involve contacting suppliers via telephone and email to source Product Information Data and Supply Chain and Fulfilment Data.
The Supplier Data Sourcing Specialist role will be focused on contacting suppliers to inform them of the data that is required and explaining the importance of the data and the benefits / consequences of supplying the information or not. The role also involves providing templates for the provision of the data, ensuring the data is accurate and complete and following up with suppliers such that they meet the required deadlines.
You will also be responsible for:
* Contacting suppliers via telephone and email to advise of the data gathering requirements, the rationale for doing so and the benefits of doing so / consequences of not doing so
* Creating, managing and providing data gathering templates to the suppliers for the provision of the required data
* Managing the data gathering schedule in line with the overall project plan and ensuring that suppliers are responding in line with the required deadlines
* Responding to enquiries from the supplier and helping to resolve any questions and issues they may have
* Understanding the capabilities that exist at the supplier for the provision of the required data and working with the suppliers to establish the most efficient and effective means of providing the data. Managing the data source files to assist with the down stream processes of reviewing and loading the data into the Product Information Management (PIM) systems
* Responding to ad-hoc and business usual demands for additional, improved, or corrected data
What are we looking for:
* Experience working with suppliers and / or customers in a fast-paced, commercial environment
* Strong communication and inter-personal skills verbally and via email, able to influence stakeholders and partners
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and proven success in meeting challenging deadlines consistently
* Proficient using the Microsoft suite of tools, especially excel
* Good planning skills, self-motivated and able to productive
* The ability to review and assess large files of data for accuracy and completeness
* Experience of Product Information Management and ERP systems is ideal but not a necessity
* Understanding of data sharing / transfer methods, systems and capabilities
