This position could suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has very good knowledge of carpentry and Joinery new build and refurbishment projects or an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is looking to progress into a Senior position in the next couple of years.
We are representing a new client based in Essex, they are looking for a Carpentry and Joinery Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a growing business who are offering further training and progression.
The client work on all aspect of carpentry in refurbishments and new build Residential developments, Healthcare, Education, Retail and Hotel projects ranging from GBP50k to GBP3m.
They pride them selves on quality craftsmanship, being reliable, understanding client requirements and communication. They work with some of the largest developers in the UK.

As a Joinery Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will:
* Establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
* Providing support for the full life cycle of projects, including establishing timescales, budgets and resources
* Supporting Bills of Quantities, Schedules, Specifications and drawings
* Cost control, cash flow, financial reporting and advice to Management teams
* Liaise with Internal teams on project progress and problems
* Reporting all aspects of the project, Cost, timeframes, problems, risks, solutions
* Site based with weekly progress report meetings at the main office
* Be involved in pre-contract to completion on projects, managing costs throughout against budget
* Identify Opportunities and risks
* Ensure health & safety and Quality Standards are implemented
As a Carpentry Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you must have/be:
* Willing to learn
* Ambitious and wants progression
* Good sense of humour
* Organised and good time management
* Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting
* Hardworking
* Self-sufficient
