The job
The purpose of the Senior Production Planner is to keep production flowing smoothly with the required materials at an optimised cost.
This ensures a steady supply of products to customers and thereby contributing to supply chain service levels.
You will create and maintain an inventory schedule by watching trends and customer demands to make sure there are always enough products and manufacturing materials, utilising continuous improvement techniques.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure production plans reflect requirements.
* Generation of weekly/monthly/quarterly line plans and highlighting any anticipated shortages or supplier constraints
* Highlighting any bottlenecks or capacity constraints, communicating any shortages throughout the business.
* Generate manpower and labour requirements weekly/monthly/quarterly.
* Schedule outloads in line with plans
* Produce weekly KPI reports within the planning function
Your experience
This is an energetic and rewarding role that would suit a confident individual with previous production planning, supply chain planning or similar experience within food manufacturing. Line management or supervisory experience is preferred.
You will be able to demonstrate analytical ability, strong communication skills plus IT proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook etc. plus a general understanding of HACCP, COSHH, QA & Management Procedures.
A driving licence is required due to site location.

The role is paying up to GBP35,000 and the working hours are Monday to Friday.
