We currently deliver infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for 10 of the largest national water sector companies.
An opportunity has arisen for Senior Process Engineers to join nmcn to provide support across our regional water businesses to deliver large scale water and wastewater capital projects for our UK water clients. This role can be based from any of the regional water offices across nmcn.
What you'll be doing day to day:
- Reviewing existing and proposed process solutions and research the effects of implementation
- Undertaking Process Safety and Impact Assessments
- Liaising with client process teams to establish and develop solutions
- Liaising with supply chain
- Compiling project documentation as required
- Preparing and supporting the implementation of commissioning plans
- Systematically reviewing process plan against design, control philosophy
- Review and application of design calculations including checking of designs prepared by others
- Undertaking technical reviews of process technology and equipment from suppliers
- Evaluating process risk
- Identifying deviations from process specification/contractual requirements
- Undertaking outline and detailed process engineering design
- Working in a multidisciplinary team
- Attending site visits
- Participating in the generation and checking of P&IDs
- Participating /chairing Hazard Studies (eg. HAZOP)
The experience we're looking for in a candidate
- Industry applicable BEng / BSc / MSc or equivalent
- Chartered engineer (or close to obtaining professional accreditation)
- Extensive clean water / wastewater processes design experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
