A truly welcoming and progressive SEN School in the heart of Harrow are looking to recruit a Primary SEN Class Teacher ahead of a September 2021 start, on a permanent basis. The Head Teacher has focused this role on experienced SEN Class Teachers, who are confident within a SEN classroom, and are able to hit the ground running.

The pupils who attend this wonderful SEN school will mainly have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Many students will have additional needs such as ADHD, speech, language, and communication difficulties, and some SEMH challenges.

The Head Teacher has developed a brilliant teamwork ethos throughout the school and has helped to further develop her staff by way of the offering the latest CPD opportunities and promoting from within where appropriate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Primary - KS1 or KS2 - SEN Class Teacher (UK QTS Required)
• Delivering engaging and creative lessons - SEN Focused
• Working alongside a range of 'Good - Outstanding' Class Teachers
• September 2021 start - Permanent Contract - Full Time
• MPS2-MPS5 - GBP31,604 - GBP38,052 +up to GBP4,479 SEN Allowance and possible TLR

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must hold UK QTS
• You must be an ambitious SEN teacher, seeking progression and career development
• Must be able to work well within a supportive team
• Must have a strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
• Confident with teaching pupils with Autism, SpLD, PMLD, ADHD and Dyslexia
• Previous lessons observations would be desirable - Good or Outstanding
