PHP Developer (Trade)
VesselsValue are looking for a passionate PHP Developer to join our dynamic Development team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This role will involve the development and maintenance of complex algorithms and logic that are fundamental to our successful Trade product.

Overview
VesselsValue was founded in 2009 having built a unique online platform that automatically values commercial shipping vessels. Completely built in-house, the complex algorithms and extensive databases are maintained by the Development team in Stoke. The company has a high presence of R&D, looking to further enhance the services available by utilising the latest technology and huge datasets to digitalise the industry.
Trade Product:
Through complex algorithms the Trade product provides instant access to cargo mile demand and vessel trading information. Including a vessel specific trade tool and macro cargo mile demand summary; identifying supply and demand patterns, improving operational efficiency and much more.
Providing the opportunity to be part of an R&D team that will challenge you daily with complex problems and the freedom to consider solutions, deliver prototypes through to MVP. We need people with problem solving skills, excellent programming abilities and a keen attention to detail.
Key skills required:
?? PHP 7+ including OOP practices
?? MySQL
?? Problem solving
?? Mathematics at A-Level or further
?? Experience in development of complex logic and algorithms
?? Minimum 3 years' experience as a Developer
Advantageous skills:
?? PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony,
?? JavaScript, Vue.JS, React, Angular. JQuery
?? Machine Learning
?? Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
?? Amazon Web Services
?? Elasticsearch
?? Python, Java
?? API's/REST
