Production Planner with scheduling experience in manufacturing environment sought by international business, a market leading manufacturer of machines for the Life Science and Healthcare sectors.
Key responsibilities of the Production Planner will include:
- Receiving and approving 12 month rolling forecast from HQ.
- Loading forecast onto system in a timely manner, ensuring any backlog from month to month is aligned with HQ planning.
-Schedule Production & Spares Orders according to agreed forecast and material availability.
- Creating production plan in conjunction with the relevant parties and issuing to stakeholders accordingly.
-Releasing Production Orders as per agreed production plan.
-Issuing Production Orders documents / labels to relevant shopfloor staff.
-Liaising with Material Planners with regards to material availability (i.e. expediting of material orders if necessary or production re-scheduling accordingly).
-Matching Sales Orders to relevant Production Orders for traceability purposes.
-Giving regular updates to HQ planning team in relation to 'shortage report' as necessary through co-ordination with Material Planners.
-Ensuring all open Work Orders are driven to a closure.
-Running daily production planning meeting with relevant parties.
-Updating and aligning Work Orders to fall in with the relevant part no revisions as per changes to BOMs.
-Attending change request meetings as required and providing relevant data / information in a timely manner.
-Providing regular KPI updates to relevant parties.
-Ensuring production tools are kept updated.
Decisive, organized and an effective communicator with a proven track record of Production Planning/Scheduling in the manufacturing sector, you are savvy in Microsoft Suite and have experience of MRP/ERP.
Adept at building strong working relationships with colleagues and external business stakeholders, winning the trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity and always striving for better ways of working
