Your role responsibilities???
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
* Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
* Assess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service users
* Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatment
* Participate in ward rounds & clinical audits
* Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance
* Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers' hearings & attend hearings
* Participate in the telephone on-call rota
About the client
My client currently has a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to come in and work within a brand-new facility, a 30 bedded mental health hospital for women, with two distinct wards each offering specialist mental health services. This role will provide psychiatric care to patients in a 15-bed acute ward.
Where is the role: This position is based in Crewe, Cheshire and is commutable from Sandbach, Nantwich, Newcastle under-Lyme, Stoke on-Trent, Cheddleton, Biddulph, Rudyard, Congleton, Winsford, Madeley, Macclesfield, Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Wrexham, Chester, Stafford.
A relocation package will also be considered
