Penderels Trust has an opportunity for someone to join our South Yorkshire team on a Maternity cover basis. You will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our customers in relation to the Appointeeships service.
The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.
Location: South Yorkshire S75 2BL (Home working arrangements currently apply).
Salary: GBP15,598 per annum, increasing to GBP16,042 per annum following probationary period.
Hours: 32 Hours per week.
Working Days & Times: Monday to Thursday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Interview dates: TBC. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, interviews will be taking place via video conferencing software. Further details will be discussed with applicants who are shortlisted for our telephone call screening process.
The Role - Your main duties will include:
* Monitoring and updating customer account trackers (Data entry, processing money requests, reconciling against SAGE reports).
* Liaising with the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) on matters relating to our customers' benefits.
* Liaising with the local authority and the Penderels Trust finance department in relation to invoicing and payment queries.
* Authorising payments as stipulated in our customers Individual Budget Plans.
* Identifying and resolving all queries effectively.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications - We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
* Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment.
* Ability to input and maintain accurate data records.
* Ability to manage workload effectively.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines.
* GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook).
* A qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable.
