Having been trading successfully throughout Devon for nearly 30 years, we are experts at contract cleaning for a wide variety of businesses and organisations from offices and schools to car showrooms, veterinary practices and factories.

We are now looking to recruit an Area Manager to oversee all educational contracts.

The Role

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of all contracts within educational establishments.

Acting as the first point of contact and the key holder for our educational contracts, you will establish strong working relationships with clients, including planning and recording review meetings.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will also be responsible for the recruitment, interview and selection process of all cleaning operatives. You will undertake performance management, hold review meetings, set targets, identify training needs, and carrying out coaching and development programmes.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure all operatives are fully trained and new starters have been correctly inducted
- Maintain auditing procedures for all sites
- Ensure effective ordering and availability of stock within set budgets
- Manage and resolve all customer complaints
- Plan and implement periodic deep cleans

About You

To be considered as an Area Manager, you will need:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Other organisations may call this role Contract Manager, Contracts Manager, Cleaning Contracts Manager, Hospitality Manager, Cleaning Operations Manager, or Operations Manager.

These are permanent, full time role working Monday - Friday, 42 hours per week, including afternoons and some evenings.
