JOB TITLE: Facilities Officer/ Property Manager

COMPANY: A diverse family-owned company in commodities

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 9.00am - 17.30pm, will need to be on call for emergencies

START: ASAP

LOCATION: City of London with occasional travel Putney

Our client is a very well-known commodities company, they are a global company & have a very high reputation within their industry. They are a small family run business who are good at what they do and are looking for a professional Facilities Officer who cannot only be apart of the company but be part of the family as well.

This is an amazing opportunity that gives you autonomy and responsibility of two properties.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

Maintaining high safety standards & compliance, maintenance of both commercial and private properties
Manage tenant relationships- ensure 100% occupancy & liaise with estate agencies with regards to tenants
Provide support for upkeep of residential property of the Founder & Chairman to ensure a safe, functional and well-maintained space.
Ensuring that these properties are in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Recommending and coordinating improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained space.
Maintaining a safe environment with proper processes including but not limited to fire safety logbook & testing, equipment checks, notice boards, forms and booklets, online tasks, fire drills, independent inspection etc.
Drafting and updating emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
Scheduling regular building maintenance and janitorial services
Contracting professionals for repairs as needed; as well as overseeing contractors to ensure quality standards & timelines are met
Ensuring that occupants are provided with proper utilities
Maximising financial efficiency in building maintenance
Ensuring timely compliance on Taxes, Insurances, GDPR etc.
Timely payments for service providers and utilities
Managing database of access cards and issuance as and when needed
Tenancy contract management & resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building tenantsSKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Flexible and adaptable
Proven experience as a building manager or in a similar role working directly with the building owner
Strong business and financial acumen
Entrepreneurial instinct
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes
Resourceful with good network with service providers in London
Excellent Project management and negotiation skills
