Our client has vacancies for Production Operatives, working within the moulding section. Initially offered as a temporary role, it may lead to permanent role for suitable candidates.
The role is working shifts, 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm, working 6 days, with 3 days off.
The role
* Be able to read and interpret written work instructions and drawings.
* Ensure quality checks are completed to required standards and all performance data is captured to allow improvement opportunities to be captured on moulding cells/machines
* Thorough completion of quality checks and associated paperwork.
* To ensure box changes are conducted in a timely manner.
* Ensure masterbatch hoppers are filled with correct materials and machine/cells have required materials to operate according to production plan.
* To tend machine alarms and provide clear communication to Senior Mould Technician or Mould Technician as soon as fault is recognised.
* Ensure Senior Mould Technician or Mould Technician is aware of any issues which may affect output or quality.
* To complete production admin tasks such as filing and label printing.
* To maintain acceptable housekeeping standards at all times to ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
* Knowledge and application of company procedures and product quality standards.
* Comply with all Health and Safety requirements as stipulated within the company procedures or as directed.
* To be able to record all relevant information in line with company procedures.
* Any other reasonable task, as requested by a manager or supervisor.
Requirements
* Previous experience in manufacturing products
* Ability to carry out infrequent heavy lifting as required
* Self motivated
* Diligent, good attention to detail.
* Ability to complete both verbal and written handover
* Ability to positively embrace change
