Peritus Healthcare are looking to recruit 5 Paramedics in Pontefract. The succesful applicants will provide a patient focused delivery of care, treatment and safe transport for emergency and non emergency patients in a clinically safe and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
* To be clinically responsible for patients in your care and those patients under the care of less experienced and/or qualified colleagues working with you during a period of operational duty.
* To use advanced driving skills under blue light and normal traffic conditions to respond to and transport emergency and routine calls as required.
* Working as a crew or solo, to initiate appropriate care and effective treatment to patients in both the hospital and pre-hospital environment, selecting and applying appropriate skills and equipment safely and within appropriate level of training, competency and scope of practice.
* To act in accordance with BEARS policies, procedures and protocols, company handbook, JRCALC guidelines and current legislation at all times.
* Assess, attend and transport patients and relatives in accordance with the above.
* To accurately complete all documentation relating to patients, vehicles and equipment in accordance with Company Policy and submit within required timeframes to management office
The Ideal Candidate: *
Essential Skills:
* HCPC registered Paramedic.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD portfolio.
* Evidence of skills logs, inc: Airway logs maintained.
* Full driving license required, maximum of 6 points
* Holder of a driving licence held in the UK for at least 2 year
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* O Level/GCSE in Maths and English
* Worked in a fast pace multi delivery environment
* Customer focused
* Good communicator and problem solving skills with strong time management ability
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of working in role (at least 12 months)
* Geographical knowledge of the local area to be worked within
* Experience of working frontline/within NHS.
* Mentorship qualification
