PHP Developer - GBP25,000-GBP30,000 DOE - Cardiff
The Role
Are you a skilled and enthusiastic developer? If so, Compare My Move, an online comparison service for house moving, are looking for a PHP Developer.
The successful candidate must enjoy working collaboratively, alongside being able to manage their own projects.
The key responsibilities of a PHP Developer include, but are not limited to:
* PHP Development imminent projects:
* Fully migrating from Symfony 2 to Symfony 4.
* Exposing the backend functions as an API.
* Rebuilding our internal CRM with a Vue.js frontend that calls that API.
* Rewriting our service forms to use the API to be usable from multiple places.
* Automating reporting to simplify the CRM.
* Extending the B2B dashboard to provide more autonomy for our partners.
PHP Development tech stack:
* Symfony 2 and Symfony 4.
* Craft CMS.
* Webpack and Grunt.
* MySQL and Doctrine.
* HTML/SCSS/JS.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a PHP Developer:
* Worked in a similar role for at least 2 years.
* Excellent OO PHP.
* Strong understanding of MySQL and ORMsl Strong experience with GIT version control.
* Experience with HTML, SCSS and JavaScript.
* Familiar with package managers ie Composer/NPM.
* Comfortable working with existing codebases and identifying and squashing bugs.
* Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
