Salary: GBP30k-340k dependent on experience

Summary

Oversees the daily workings of the complete operations. Plans, manages, and implements schedules to ensure deadlines are met, and maintained at high quality standards of product production and delivery.

Job Duties:

Manages the growth and success of the teams.

Coordinate activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements.

Responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of daily operations.

Communicates with all relevant Team Leaders, the commercial team, tool-room and despatch employees to ensure delivery times are met and monitored.

Plans, schedules, and review work loading and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.

Ensures the production team has enough time to manufacture and deliver products based on customers request/requirements.

Creates a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines.

Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to all relevant parties.

Monitor production standards including KPI's.

Makes sure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment.

Ensure purchasing of materials, b/o items and services required for production is in line with requirements and on time deliveries.

Follows up on interruptions to the order.

Organises, plans, and implements inventory activities.

Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.

Ability to quote for pressings/assemblies or/& tooling.

Previously have worked within an ISO 9001, AS9001 and IAFT 16949 certified company.

Qualifications/Experience:

Prior Press-shop and/or Managerial experience within a press-shop environment preferred.

Engineering/management qualifications.

Technical manufacturing knowledge of Toolmaking and pressings/Stampings (small to medium sized pressings in low, medium and high volumes)

Highly organised.

Production and Planning Skills Required.

Understanding of Stock Management Systems.

Ability to Manage Time and Workload Effectively.

Excellent Communication Skills, both Written and Verbal.

Leadership Skills.

Previously quoted for stampings/pressings/Assemblies and/or press tools

Experience in negotiating and working with customers.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to engage and motivate others.

Drive to achieve results.

Basic hours 37.5 hrs per week (Monday to Thursdays inclusive), sometimes will have to also work a Friday morning, to oversee overtime working by the shop-floor
