Civils Engineer - Team Leader

Are you ready to support the delivery of a fibre first Britain? We are currently seeking to recruit Civils Engineer - Team Leaders to support the deployment of full fibre networks across the North West. We would love to hear from you if you have experience of installation work in a telecoms environment.

Role Profile:

Reporting to and tasked by the Supervisor locally, you will be employed to carry out Civils activities including, Excavation / Duct lay / Backfill / Reinstatement / Maintenance digs, clear blockages and pole lead-ins in the multiple surface categories to support the installation of optical fibre on the City Fibre external network.

Typical Deliverables:

Ensure Operatives in team are compliant in approved working practices
Set up site in full accordance with NRSWA
Complete milestone progress reports with supporting photographs
Ensure all tooling is in good condition and calibrated in date where required
Complete POWRA (Point of work risk assessments) and maintain visitors log
Excavate, backfill and manage spoil on site
Complete cold lay re-instatement in line with Section 72 StandardsBusiness Operations Skills - Qualifications:

NRSWA Unit 1-4
Driving licenceYou'll receive formal training and on-the-job training where appropriate through our training school or external providers - to ensure you're up-skilled as technology develops along with E-learning schemes to help or refresh skills on-line.
