Are you currently looking for a new challenge or want to be an integral part of a successful company? We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Loader to join our busy Central Distribution site in Blackburn. The role will be fast paced and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the department delivers a first class service to both internal and external customers.

The role:

Picking of stock for all inter-depot Sales Orders
Replenishment of all pick faces with stock
Putting away of product received into the warehouse
Loading vans/trailers with stock and Made-to-Order products for depots
Receipt, handling and control of made-to-order products including Rockdoors, Panels, Windows, Bifold doors and Glass.
Carry out MHE checks as required
General housekeeping duties to keep the warehouse tidy
Assist other areas of Central Warehouse taskings as required
Input into Daily Operations Meeting
Any other duties deemed necessary by your Line Manager.
Delivering stock and Made-to-Order products to depots
Loading/unloading activities at depots
Safe handling of stock and made-to-order products
Safe use of MHE at depots
Ensure that all Drivers' Hours Rules & Regulations are adhered to
Administration of all load paperwork


Numerate and literate
Physically fit
FLT / Combilift experience ideal not essential
Product knowledge will come with training
Full training will be provided for any new tasks that may be given / expected.

Skills and Experience:

Experience of working within a fast-paced operation
Forklift Truck Licence
Combi lift trained
Valid Driving Licence to be able to drive 3.5t & 7.5t vans
Good understanding of up-to-date operating procedures in CD Warehouse including Picking and Replenishment
Knowledge of all storage locations for these 3,000+ bought-in and manufactured sku's
Product knowledge of 3,000+ sku's held in CD Warehouse
Product knowledge for made-to-order products including Windows
In-depth knowledge of all storage locations for these 3,000+ bought-in and manufactured sku's
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan and organise own workload
Ability to work as a member of a team
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work for sustained periods
Ability to identify mistakes and correct them
Attention to detail
Highly accurate
Prioritisation Skills
Highly Proficient IT Skills (MS Office)
