THE COMPANY:
One of the UK's leading vehicle reconditioning and storage specialists are seeking Health and Safety Advisor to join the team in their Portbury Site.
In this role you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the Companies legal Health & Safety requirements which are undertaken to our 18001 Management System.
THE ROLE:
Monitor current Health and Safety policies
Keep an eye on training needs for the employees
Support management and update relevant safety systems
Ensuring all required staff Risk Assessments are undertaken and recorded
Creating/issuing of dynamic Risk Assessments
Ensure all equipment is serviced/maintained/inspected/recorded
Monitoring of all checks
Updating and maintaining the Maintenance/Service calendar
Support the Facilities Manager
Liaising between staff and management on Health & Safety related issues
Creating the introduction of Health & Safety initiatives
Manage all external contractors
Organise routine fire drills
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
NEBOSH or IOSH
Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook
An excellent team player but also able to use initiative and work alone
Have a flexible approach to the changing demands of the role
Strong planning and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
