Job overview

Procurement Professional, working within the Commodity Management Teams executing the sourcing process based on the Category Strategy, production volumes and unique project requirements.

The Procurement Professional will contribute to the performance of Commodity Management by supporting the development and deployment of Commodity Strategy, maintaining supplier market intelligence, supplier relationship management whilst supporting the Continuous Improvement and Innovation of the team.

Providing operational procurement activities of sourcing, supply agreement negotiations, price negotiations and preparation of material data for production planning and call-off orders.

Key responsibilities

Works as a member of the functional team to provide Procurement capability and the development and deployment of Commodity strategies whilst meeting the operational needs and maximising performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.
As a member of the Procurement team and community within a business / function will manage the effective deployment of Procurement processes.
Responsible for discharging procurement requirements through the full lifecycle of the business, utilising core ERP tool SAP where necessary, whilst ensuring that SHE remains central to the task.
Providing an excellent internal customer experience, through functional and supplier performance and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Contributing to an environment that is oriented towards the highest ethical standards, trust, open communication and creative thinking.
Take an active role in participation of partnering activities with key suppliers and support the development of long-term supplier strategies & relationships.
Understand and implement "supplier management"
Must be cognisant of and have ability to undertake and participate in the creation and execution of legally binding contractual documents. (Non-Disclosure Agreement's, Terms and Conditions) Training can be provided.
Managing relationships with internal Key Stakeholders (Line Management, Project Procurement Management, Project Management, Supplier Quality Assurance, Commercial and Legal including Export Control, Engineering, other functions & external Stakeholders (Supplier Base).Candidate overview

Knowledge of Procurement role within the business.
Knowledge of Commodity Management.
Expertise in Supply chain knowledge for specific commodities.
Knowledgeable in processes utilised by supply chain in manufacture of goods or services provided.
Ability to quickly deliver Requests for Tender activities and demonstrate expertise in the assessment process thereof.
SAP general knowledge.
Ability to negotiate with Suppliers
Knowledge of the Procurement role in delivering commodity management benefits to the organisation.
Highly motivated and self-disciplined, with the ability to work autonomously, under the minimum of supervision.
