3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, Remote

3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer required for a leading professional services organisation based in Bristol. The role comes with an excellent benefits package including pension contributions; life assurance; healthcare; discretionary bonus plus more.

You'll be joining a successful IT Support team that is responsible for implementation, troubleshooting, analysing and maintaining the companies IT Infrastructure including network connectivity and utilisation.

Candidates will have the ability to work independently, prioritise projects and determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance.

General responsibilities:-

• Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls and VPN.
• Liaise with key infrastructure suppliers to resolve issues as and when required.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity and traffic utilisation using available network tools in a timely fashion.
• Provide Infrastructure services in all areas needed: storage networking, load balancing, Operating Systems, network security, directory services, server virtualisation, Telecoms and system/network monitoring.
• Standard System Administration duties including server install, System/Application install and patch management, Windows problem determination and resolution, log analysis.

The successful candidate will have experience with a few of the following (not all essential):-

• In depth experience of Windows Server 2, preferably Microsoft certified.
• Microsoft Azure and Office 365
• Exchange Server
• SQL Server
• Active Directory
• Hands on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, WAN, PC and server virtualisation software, virus protection, backup systems, NAS/SAN storage devices.
• VMWare ESXi
• Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
• IP Telephony knowledge.
• Network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting experience.
