LPCo are seeking to recruit a Business and Employment Tutor to engage employers and individuals into learning and development opportunities offered by LPCo, working with employers, learners and apprentices to ensure positive outcomes through upskilling, training, and/or qualifications. This post will be part funded by the EU European Social Fund.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a caseload of learners, ensure that their training needs are met and assessed to meet the requirements of partners, funding bodies, awarding bodies and LPCo
  • Participate in the planning, development and implementation of provision
  • Monitor the progression of learners ensuring assessment for each element of their learning is completed, enabling learner to meet all achievement targets for all parts of their programme on time.
  • Maintain learner records accurately both hard copy and electronically, ensuring they are readily available and accessible for audit and quality purposes, and within agreed timescales
  • Prepare, adapt, organise and maintain learning resources and/or equipment
  • Support learners in achieving their qualification through ensuring criteria and requirements are met and achieved
  • Adapt and develop learning materials
  • Record and provide feedback to learners on their progress
  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of the company training offer
  • Deliver Information, Advice and Guidance to individuals to meet their personal or work goals including skills assessments and creating SMART individual learning plans
  • Support unemployed individuals to gain skills and move into work through gaining vocational skills or basic skills, and monitor their progress
  • Support employees to up-skill into roles with better pay and prospects through gaining vocational skills or basic skills and monitor their progress
  • Contribute to the development of bespoke training courses and deliver where necessary.
  • Liaise with staff to develop job-specific skills for apprentices
