About the role
As a Procurement Specialist for direct materials, you will work within a highly engaged global team to support the execution and implementation of the global procurement strategy for the site.
Proven experience in direct materials purchasing is required, preferably gained within a multi-site semiconductor manufacturing or automotive environment.
What you will do
*
Purchase direct materials for the site and its semiconductor wafer fabrication facility
*
Provide market intelligence and contribute to sourcing strategies at commodity level
*
Negotiate supply contracts and supply chain agreements
*
Drive benchmarking, RFQs, and cost reduction activities
*
Supplier management, including supplier qualification planning, performance management and review meetings
*
Procurement project management and related support activities
What you will need
* Degree or equivalent in Business, Purchasing, or a similar discipline, CIPS or related qualification preferred
* Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, additional language such as Mandarin preferred
* Good knowledge of IATF 16949 or VDA standards
* Able to prioritise and work on multiple activities concurrently
* MS Excel data analysis and PowerPoint presentation skills
* Strong teamworking and collaboration skills on an international level
