My client are a Stockport based tech business at the forefront of the global recommence revolution, allowing customers to both sell to and buy from a service that is smart for them, and smart for the planet.

They refurb as much as 95% of all products given to them across a host of products. They are not just a DVD reseller as they were once known, they now have corporate recycling scheme which accounts for a huge amount of the UK's environmental sustainability and a shift in focus to gadgets has allowed for GBP125 million a year+ business. They have now been welcomed into the London Stock Exchange and been awarded the Green Economy Mark.

In the UK alone people are sitting on around GBP16.5 billion worth of technology that they no longer use, and only a small percentage of consumers technology items are currently recycled so you can see the potential positive impact my clients growth can have. They are rapidly growing and therefore need a .NET Developer to join the core part of their cross functional team working with the business to deliver value within the platform using .NET Core & Azure.

Working with the best tools and practices, alongside a high-performing team of developers, they are looking for someone who is keen to keep up with the latest technology and work in a high quality role which involves expert clean code.

What You Will Be Doing - Software Developer (.Net)

• Design, develop and deploy new greenfield projects in .NET Core & Azure
• Building .NET Core applications
• Building and Deploying to Azure
• Rewriting apps in .NET Core
• Working on and taking ownership for new projects including an entirely new live pricing application
• Looking at extracts and inputting them into MPN files
• Using Kosmos for configuration
• Using Terraform
• Delivering clean, maintainable and secure code
• Delivering in a CI/CD environment
• Feature flags for deployment within azure
• Migrating Legacy applications to .NET Core

The skills needed - Software Developer (.Net)

• Experience building web based .NET solutions
• Understanding of NoSQL Databases
• Understanding of Enterprise Messaging or Queuing Services, eg Azure service bus, Azure Storage Queue
• Understanding Terraform would be a plus but not essential
• Experience in Azure DevOps
• Experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with Terraform ideal but not essential
• Demonstrable knowledge of OO design
• Proficiency in building optimized SQL statements and procedures
• Familiarity with agile environments
