We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join an established House builder supplying high-quality homes for all generations based in Peterborough. They are seeking this role due to growth and ideally would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
The successful individual will have worked in a similar role and have a good understanding of materials, cost and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Buyer will be reporting to the Senior Buyer, assisting and supporting with all buying tasks including assisting with the preparation of all procurement duties and exercises. Our client are looking for someone who is ambitious, motivated and driven to succeed within the construction industry.

Assistant Buyer Position Overview
Assistant Buyer position for an established House Builder based in Peterborough
Assist with compiling monthly reports, which include replacement orders, waste reports, bulk order costs and materials on site
Raise office and Sales and Marketing orders
Deal with telephone calls to/from suppliers
Assist with processing orders from site requisitions
Issue drawings to various suppliers for quotations
Rebate Administrative ticking processes where appropriate
Customer Care orders/trackersAssistant Buyer Position Requirements
A good knowledge of the construction industry
Experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
Commutable distance from Peterborough
Proven track record of great customer service
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ambitious and Motivated
Understanding of materials and costsAssistant Buyer Position Remuneration
Competitive Salary GBP26,000 - GBP32,000 (D.O.E)
Competitive Bonus Scheme
25 days holiday (increase by 1 day for every 3 years continuous service up to 28 days)
