Physical Activity Engagement and Project Support Officer

Main Purpose of the Post

1. To collaborate, network and engage with Powys County Council services, key partners, community groups, organisations and physical activity businesses to develop the council's and partners objectives.
2. To liaise and link with organisations, services and other opportunities, to coordinate an approach for all Powys residents and visitors to be empowered and supported which in turn will help access opportunities to increase physical activity.
3. To develop an understanding of the needs and motivations of, and barriers facing individuals and groups throughout the county who already take part in sport and leisure or those who would like to do so. Using insight, innovative tools and techniques to guide future delivery, market opportunities and shape physical activity and leisure opportunities within the county.?
4. To capture, collate and present information on an appropriate platform which will encourage and promote opportunities for physical activity throughout Powys.
