Description: This leading healthcare group operates hospitals UK wide, providing exceptional healthcare, medical and surgical services to millions of patients each year.
Due the expansion of First Contact Physiotherapy services, we are looking to recruit band 7/8 Physiotherapists to work in a mixed MSK role, across GP and MSK clinics. You will be part of a growing service, including MSK Physiotherapists, Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioners and MSK Doctors. It is a fantastic environment for knowledge and skill development in Musculoskeletal health.
As a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) you will be involved in developing new and innovative pathways for treating MSK conditions. The role will require you to monitor the outcomes of these treatments and undertake audits to understand the effects, constantly seeking to empower clinicians to evolve and improve the service.
The post holder will be expected to provide clinical expertise, leadership and collaborate with all other clinicians working alongside them, becoming part of an MDT approach to enhance patient care in a musculoskeletal setting.
Mentorship will be provided by an experienced APP, with clinicians expected to achieve FCP accreditation as set out by NHS England. Travel between sites is required.
Person Specification: To succeed as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) you will need:
To be HCPC registered
Physiotherapy degree
Experience working at a senior physiotherapist level seeing patients in a musculoskeletal setting (equivalent B7 or 8a)
Evidence of continuing professional development in relevant clinical and management areas
Clinical leadership
Experience in ordering diagnostics/investigations & tests
Experience of clinical supervision / mentoring
Experience in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Chronic pain
Experience in managing/supervision
