Site Manager - Brickworks / Bricklaying experience
The Company
Established Midlands based masonry specialist, with 20 years as brickwork, blockwork & stonework specialists, providing a first class service to a wide array of buildings, encompassing residential, commercial, retail, educational, care homes and governmental. Providing a bespoke service to our client needs, supplying everything you need including labour, plant and materials, with an ethos of being 100% prepared, aware and responsible for both quality and Health and Safety procedures.
The Role
Working on multiple projects, the Site Manager will work across sites in Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby & Leicester, with a focus on providing a first-class masonry service, health & safety and making sure deliverables are met on time and in budget.
Skills / Experience
Core Skills for the Site Manager role are:
* Site Manager / Project Manager experience with a background and strong experience of brickworks/ bricklaying.
* Oversee projects within the company.
* Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on.
* Treat Health and safety issues as a top priority in the role.
* Manage client expectations
* Manage, mentor and instruct all site workers within your team.
* Maintain accurate records of hours worked by all operatives on site.
* Toolbox talks and briefings on policies and procedures, ensuring all operatives under your control work in a safe and efficient manner.
* Identify potential risks to Health & safety with regular site inspections of all areas, promoting safety, best practice and identifying areas that may be reported in your QA reports.
* You must identify all areas of additional works outside of the BQ requirements and issue to the Main Contractor and QS dept for approval and payment.
* Maintain accurate records of main contractor "sign offs", including DPC's, Cavity Trays, Masonry Support, Windposts, Blockwork, Brickwork.
Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience, including car/ allowance, pension and flexible benefits.
