Agricultural Parts Sales Advisor

GBR Recruitment are working exclusively with a well known Agri dealership within the heart of Suffolk recruiting for a Parts Sales Advisor to join their parts servicing team.

This well known growing agri dealership / distributor was established over 25 years ago, and it is known as one of the regions top agricultural machinery dealers, supplying a wide spread and varied range of new agricultural machinery throughout areas such as Suffolk, Shropshire, Staffordshire, plus areas like Mid Wales too and their high quality high capital used / pre-loved agri equipment, is successfully sold across both the UK and overseas too making them a well established dealer to many farmers.

They are a major dealer dedicated to the likes of John Deere & Isuzu brands plus various others delivering an exceptional high level customer service to everyone.

High quality customer service is key to their ever growing dealership therefore nothing else will suffice.

Duties of the role:

* Actively promote and sell agri parts through all franchises and/or services to meet the farming community customer needs, effectively by both telephone as well as effectively by face to face too; collecting payments from the customers as required

* Making sure all parts orders are ready for the customer collection or packaged for the courier/postal delivery service

* Deliver all required parts to Service Technicians including identifying parts required and ordering them to the relevant job number

* Check and verify all receipts for incoming deliveries, including booking stock onto the internal management system, locating them in the relevant place/s or forwarding the parts onto despatch/workshop, whichever is applicable at the time of receipt

* Maintain a high quality well presented showroom at all times as this is key to customer sales and in promoting available products to all

* Accurately maintain and control all in-house stock levels and assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual stock takes

* Complete administration tasks

* Up-sell products by contacting lapsed and current customers with special offers/deals on the agri parts and machinery to drive branch revenue streams and profits

* Follow Health and Safety plus covid protocol

Requirements for the role include:

• Experience in a John Deere parts environment or similar products in the Agricultural, construction, specialist machinery, forklifts, aerial platforms, municipal, rail, aircraft, army machinery and vehicles or similar with hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, mechanical, electrical parts is preferred with a mechanical mindset with some technical knowledge (not to Engineer level but some)

• Ideally knowing the basics of how a tractor works

• Ability to use standard computer applications plus quick to learn bespoke systems

• Outstanding customer relationship skills at all times

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

• Ability to thrive in a team environment plus upon own initiative

• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and on call particularly during harvest times (overtime paid for this at x1.5 rate so extra earnings on top of the basic available to increase annual earnings)

This role is commutable from: Colchester, Haverhill, Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Braintree, Chelmsford, Clacton on Sea, Wivenhoe, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Sudbury, Bishops Stortford, Harlow, Royston, Billericay, Basildon, Newmarket, Diss and Ely plus other areas surrounding these
