Support Engineer - Surrey Fintech
Due to significant growth plans as well as recent changes to our client's infrastructure, which includes a new project to migrate all our existing Servers to a private cloud, we're looking for an experienced Support Engineer to work for this well-known & rapidly growing Fintech business based in Surrey. Post COVID, it has been confirmed that this role will operate as a hybrid WFH 3 days a week, WFO 2 days a week and is paying GBP40,000 per annum coupled with a good benefits package.
Support Engineer tasks
You'll have a good practical understanding of Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Active Directory and Group Policy, and will have proven hands-on experience with SAN's and switch configuration.

Support Engineer tasks
- Day-to-day running and maintenance of our server environment and issues
- Installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting any hosted applications
- Designing system configuration
- Directing system installation
- Enforcing network standards
You'll have a good practical understanding of Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Active Directory and Group Policy, and will have proven hands-on experience with SAN's and switch configuration.
Additional requirements include:
- Good experience with Windows Server 2012/16+ and Windows 7/10
- Experience with VMWare would be highly beneficial
- Equally comfortable working with people as you are systems
- Ideally having come from a background in helpdesk support with the ability to easily translate technical jargon into laymans terms
- Able to communicate well at all levels
- Structured, solution-oriented, collaborative, and highly proactive
- Previous experience of working on an Infrastructure/NOC team preferable
- Any experience with Azure, Veem, VMware Horizon and Office365 would be highly beneficial
