Mechanical Engineer

Serve Talent are proud to be working exclusively with a successful manufacturing business who are looking to recruit Mechanical Engineer for their facility based in Norwich, Norfolk.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager and working alongside the wider Design team, you'll be responsible for the design & development of a range of Special Purpose Machinery.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Perform detailed Mechanical Design analysis to maintain or improve the integrity of the product range.
• Active participation in continuous improvement projects to develop, maintain and modify engineering in-house software, processes and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of and preparing of technical reports and/or presentations.
• Provide technical support to the Sales Department as required.
• 3D CAD Design using Creo.

Ideally you'll have:

• Degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Masters).
• A fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering including: mathematics and statistics, tolerance analysis, stress/strain, fluid mechanic and thermodynamics.
• Three years' experience in the design of capital equipment.
• PLM System experience (Windchill)
• Experience in performing hand calculations, using 3D CAD packages and CAE optimisation tools.
