Financial Accountant, ACCA/CIMA Qualified or finalist, Milton Keynes, cGBP50,000
Our client, a well established, rapidly growing and successful retail group, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their efficient UK finance team. This key role is a member of the Finance Team, working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director as and when required. In this role, the post holder will help drive forward the company's growth plans so it is essential that this individual can be hands on and organised to meet the deadlines and regulatory requirements.
As the Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
* Supervision and development of a Finance Supervisor
* Ownership of trading results of the group in accordance with month end timeframes, including preparation and analysis of results
* Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
* VAT & CT Returns
* Review/support of statutory accounts
* Review and appraisal of internal controls, policies and procedures
The Financial Accountant will also work closely with other internal key team members including the Commercial Analyst for budget and forecast inputs. For this role we are looking for someone who is ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified with experience in a similar position previously. The individual will be well versed in IT based accounting packages, preferably Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics Navision. You will have had experience providing detailed results as well as working closely with other departments to deliver to required outputs. Working as part of a small team to ensure that required expectations on all deliverables are met, you will also require confident and effective communication skills.
