THE COMPANY:
This company is an instantly recognisable and leading brand in Yorkshire who operate in a modern and forward thinking environment. They have multiple sites, but the Head Office is based in North Leeds which is where their central functions including finance are based.
Following recent expansion of their finance team, the business are now looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant. The role will work as part of a small finance team in a standalone position, and have full end to end responsibility for the purchase ledger processing on Sage.
THE JOB:
Reporting to the FC and working closely with the management accountant, the key duties of this role will include:
New supplier forms completed and set up correctly in Sage Accounts
Regular maintenance on Supplier list to ensure bank details remain correct
Process all invoices received by the business
Ensure all invoices are authorised by relevant personnel prior to payment
Check and reconcile supplier statements
Chase any outstanding credit notes
Ensure all suppliers are paid on time
Deal with supplier queries in a timely manner
Raise any adhoc invoices for customers or supplier rebates
Other adhoc duties which are required as part of the role and supporting the team
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will:
Have a minimum of 2 years experience of purchase ledger processing - Essential
Have previous experience of Sage 50 - Desirable
Have a good knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
Have excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills - Essential
