One of the largest housing associations within the UK is recruiting in Luton for a Deputy Accommodation Manager to support in the daily management of their temporary accommodation scheme, managing the delivery of contractual agreements, and maximisation of income through effective budget and performance control.

The Service
This role is based within a Keyworker Accommodation service, providing 80 units of accommodation to hospital key workers, including medical students, doctors and nurses etc.

The Role
The focus of this Deputy Accommodation Manager position is to support the Accommodation Manager in the management of the Key Worker Accommodation Scheme. In the position, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Co-ordination and management of front of house services e.g. reception or helpdesk, repairs reporting, IT provision, cleaning, security and other service contracts
*Ensure that the offices are open and accessible to residents as required by the scheme's legal and contractual obligations.
*Ensure that the out of hour's service is operational.
*With support from your line manager, assist in the recruitment and management of staff under the post-holders control.
*Promote a positive working relationship with our Key partners or key business contacts.
*At all times to provide an excellent customer focussed service.
*To ensure the smooth operation of nominations agreements and resident intake processes (including from time to time decanting and refurbishment programmes) in accordance with the legal and contractual commitments of the scheme(s) business plan, taking your lead from the Property Manager.
*Support the Property Manager in investigating all antisocial behaviour issues in accordance with procedures.
*Act as a 'Green Champion' to minimise the environmental impact of day to day operations of the scheme(s).
*Deliver an effective and efficient service in accordance with any legal or contractual requirements.
*Operate in accordance with any quality standards frameworks e.g. Accreditation Network UK (ANUK), Universities UK (UUK).
*Ensure the scheme complies with all statutory health & safety and fire safety requirements.
*Build the annual scheme budget - owning the income and expenditure details - to deliver a budget that meets Business Plan requirements.
*Ensure that the tenancy conditions relevant to the scheme are enforced.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Deputy Accommodation Manager role, you will require an up to date knowledge of Housing Legislation and requirements for Houses in Multiple Occupation, as well as a good knowledge of issues surrounding working with Students and Key workers. You will also need strong IT skills and be able to prepare presentations

The Contract
This is a full time Deputy Accommodation Manager role working 8:30-16:30 Monday to Friday. The role is on an initial 3 month contract but is likely to be extended or even go permanent as it is covering the recruitment period for a permanent position.
