Position: Financial Planning & Analysis Controller
Location: Halifax
Salary: upto GBP45,000
Shift: Days
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm (38.75 hrs)
About your new Financial Planning & Analysis Controller role
To develop, produce and analyse financial projections, performance and results using the financial systems in place, in order to produce reporting to the management team and Executive Board
Duties of the Financial Planning & Analysis Controller role
Prepare month end financial analysis for inclusion in board pack.
Coordinate budget and quarterly forecasting working closely with management team.
Weekly / Monthly cash flow forecasting.
Proactively support the month-end accounting process by analysing, reviewing and investigating actual results versus budget, forecast and prior year.
Provide regular reporting and insights to management on business performance.
Support with the financial information for the tender process.
Preparation and presentation of ad hoc reports and analysis.
Assist in preparation of UK statutory accounts - including complex calculations such as deferred revenue.
Reporting monthly performance to Group via OneStream (Consolidation System).
Creating efficiencies within the Finance department (and others) through use of Excel formulas and macros.
Proactively seek to improve the processes and tools used in the budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
Qualifications / Required skills for the Financial Planning & Analysis Controller
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
Significant business experience in a financial role.
Excellent analytical skills.
High attention to detail & analytical mind set.
Excellent, high level / advanced Excel Skills.
Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office - Outlook and Word.
Experience working with large sets of data.
