Structured Cabling and Fibre Engineers - Sub-Contract

We are seeking experienced data, voice and fibre engineers with good communication skills, who work to high standards and are willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, to work alongside our existing teams, initially on a sub contract basis.

Must be polite, friendly with an enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills.

Experience:-

* Be able to fix all associated cable and containment accessories, including traywork.

* Cable route planning knowledge.

* The installation and termination of cables, Category 6 & 6a and multi-core voice cables (CW1308).

* Good with documentation, labelling and schematic diagrams

* Fluke testing, continuity and multi-range meters

* Liasing with clients on-site.

* Optical Fibre cable selection, installation, termination and testing.

* Link testing utilising OTDR and Infrared.

* Mechanical and fusion splicing.

* Data & Voice integration (krone/voice panel knowledge preferred).

* Strong cabinet dressing and patch panel presentation skills.

* Have a good general knowledge of network connectivity and comms room requirements.

* To be able to survey and estimate/quote installations (preferred)
