Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking to join a growing industry leader distributor of Volvo Construction Equipment?
Here at SMT GB we are always on the look-out for the best people as we expand and we are now recruiting Field Service Engineers covering London or the South East.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out the service and repairs of our Volvo heavy plant construction machinery effectively and competently to the highest standard.
The position requires an Service Engineer with:
* Construction, HGV or Agriculture industry experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy plant machinery
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural or HGV Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills and comprehensive understanding of hydraulics and electronics
* Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
* High standards and attention to detail
You will be required to apply your industry skills and knowledge to make a real impact within the team and business by:
* Identifying mechanical problems using technical knowledge and computerised diagnostic equipment, offering guidance and advice to the customer
* Attending any relevant product or systems training courses to ensure a high standard of competence required to efficiently complete duties
* Work in accordance with Volvo Group UK standards of health, safety, quality and environmental care
