Payroll Team Leader (temporarily remote)

We are working with a well-recognised and established retailer who are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to join their large and busy payroll department to play a key part in processing and overseeing high volume payroll delivery.

This position will be temporarily remote due to the pandemic with the view to return to the office, subject to government guidelines. There will be potential long term flexibility with regards to this.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Leading and overseeing the administration of multi-frequency payrolls
Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing
Supporting the Payroll Manager in overseeing a team with circa 3 direct reports
Assisting with hiring, developing, training and appraisals
Dealing with pension administration
Identifying areas for improvements
Assisting with payroll Year End, P11Ds, reconciliationsExperience required:

Strong people management within a payroll function
Experience with high volume payroll
Experience with RTI, Year End & Auto Enrolment
