Gibbs & Dandy - Customer Service Assistant (Yard)
Based: High Wycombe
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hello and thank you for your interest in our role!
Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out. As a Customer Service Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and yard running smoothly. From serving our customers in the yard to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales, you'll be at the heart of our operations. The role is predominantly based outside, which means you'll face the cold of winter and the warmth (hopefully!) of summer, but we'll provide you with the things you need to do the job, whatever the weather!

You will have the opportunity to support and advise customers on our extensive building products and service range - no matter how big or small their project is! We've been in the industry for over 175 years so we can proudly say we know a thing or two about providing our customers with the tools and materials they need to complete their building projects. The Gibbs & Dandy team are a family, we value, respect and occasionally have the odd joke at the expense of each other - but what family doesn't? All this makes us who we are - a close knit team on a mission. But we couldn't give our customers a service they can trust without our people, and this is where you step in.
You'll join Gibbs & Dandy High Wycombe. This branch is well-established and busy, with a friendly team of xx who work hard to offer a great service and excellent product knowledge.
So, what are we looking for?
A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a 'customer 1st' attitude
The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Accuracy and attention to detail
A positive team player
A full UK driving license, as you'll also need to operate a forklift truck to ensure our delivery drivers get in and out in double quick time.
A forklift licence would be also be an advantage, however it's not essential as we can organise training for you.
