Workplace Domestic Violence Champion
East Cambridgeshire District Council has an opportunity for a Workplace Domestic Violence Champion (Part Time) to join their team.
Location: Ely, East Cambridgeshire
Salary: GBP12,245 - GBP13,870 p.a. plus benefits
Job Type: 12 months Fixed Term
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Workplace Domestic Violence Champion - The Role:
In this role you will be the point of contact for employees that are suffering from domestic abuse and to sign post and support employees and their families where Domestic Abuse has been disclosed.
Workplace Domestic Violence Champion - Key Responsibilities:
- Help to assist the Housing and Community Advice Manager and Housing Options Team Leader in administration tasks to achieve the DAHA accreditation
- Arrange training needs in relation to Domestic Abuse for employees of the Authority
- Be involved in raising awareness and enhance overall level of knowledge within the Authority.
Workplace Domestic Violence Champion - You:
- Three GCSEs, grade C or above, to include English and Maths, or equivalent
- Experience of dealing with people that are in abusive relationships
- Understanding of Domestic Abuse law and safeguarding procedures
- Understanding of Local government procedures and processes.
- The ability to work under pressure, commitment to equal opportunities, commitment to the principles of data protection and confidentiality
- Willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet changing service demands
